How to Format Marks on a Toshiba Laptop Keyboard
Many words contain accent marks that are intended to change the way that a word is pronounced. In some languages, the accent mark can completely change the meaning of a word. These marks do not appear on a standard Toshiba Laptop keyboard, but you can access them using the ALT key and the numeric keypad on the right side of your keyboard. If you're using a laptop, chances are that you won't have a numeric keypad, but don't worry--your Toshiba laptop keyboard is still capable of formatting accent marks.
Locate the numeric code for the accent mark that you want to use. See the "Resources" section below for sites containing lists of available accent marks and their corresponding codes.
Press and hold the function button on your keyboard, often labeled "Fn."
Press and hold the "Alt" button on your keyboard.
Enter the numeric code for the accented letter using the function-enabled numeric keypad on your keyboard. These are the numbers that appear on your letter keys, usually in a pale green or blue color.
Release the "Alt" key and the function key. The accented letter will appear.
Tips & Warnings
The number row at the top of your keyboard will not work. You must use the numeric keypad that appears as a secondary function of the alphabetic portion of your keyboard.
